SR-series spring return (single acting) pneumatic actuators provide automatic fail-safe operation: compressed air moves the valve to the operating position, and an internal spring cartridge returns it to the safe position on loss of air supply. Available in spring-to-close (FC) and spring-to-open (FO) configurations.

What happens if air supply is lost?
The internal spring cartridge moves the valve to its fail-safe position automatically — either closed (FC) or open (FO) depending on your specification. This protects your process without electricity or manual intervention.
How do I choose fail position?
